Set & Atmosphere – 10
The set design is immaculate, with each movie-inspired section feeling like its own standalone experience. The transitions, use of space, audio, and theatrical presentation are phenomenal — and it’s clear this was a labor of love by interior architect and mastermind, Anthony Boelart, as the attention to detail shows in every corner. Even the post-game apothecary greenhouse was brimming with props, recommendations, and charm. An unforgettable experience thanks to Anthony!
Story & Immersion – 9.5
While not a traditional narrative-heavy room, the immersion comes from being thrown into the movies themselves. The references are plentiful, delightful, and full of 90's nostalgia. It’s the "isekai" of escape room where suddenly you’re living the stories you grew up watching. If you can, do the scary add-on! It’s a memorable, laughter-filled thrill with one of the most unique interactions we've seen.
Puzzles & Mechanics – 9
The puzzles aren’t the hardest you’ll find, but they’re designed to delight. Many of them are straightforward, but the joy comes not from “eureka!” moments, but from the sheer coolness of how they tie into the environments. Each solution feels like a playful nod to the movies you’re immersed in. There are some unique interactions and funny beats woven into the gameplay that keep things light and engaging.
Flow – 10
Flawless. The use of suspense, dramatic reveals, lighting, and space creates seamless progression from one movie world to the next. The experience feels expansive yet cohesive, and every transition builds anticipation for what’s next. You’re never pulled out of the magic. Everything is paced to maximize cinematic wow-factor.

The Movies Full Experience is a phenomenal, one-of-a-kind escape room that blends humor, nostalgia, and cinematic flair into a joyous ride through worlds you’ll instantly recognize. The passion of its creator shines through in every detail. It deserves a spot among the greats and if you’re a movie fan, this might just be your all-time favorite escape.
Travel tip: Since Movies is located just outside Bruges, plan extra time to explore the city before or after your escape. Bruges is stunning and we wished we had carved out more time to wander!
