Set & Atmosphere – 9

From the moment you step into the lobby, the game has already begun. Everyone you meet is in on the act, and the space feels like a living, breathing world. The massive warehouse floor is littered with vibrant lighting and fantasy decor. Clever tech is woven throughout, adding to the sense of magic and scale.

Story & Immersion – 9

The experience is utterly carried by your actor/GM. We played with Imrane, who was running his first English-language game, and he was marvelous. The roleplay, humor, and little character moments drew us in immediately, and there’s a standout mid-game sequence that had our group buzzing with urgency and excitement. The writing and performances sell the enchanted-creature universe, with plenty of laughs along the way. Fantasy lovers and gamers will feel right at home with the many whimsical easter eggs.

Puzzles & Mechanics – 6

Straightforward puzzles with some skill and timing elements - nothing too tricky, but all thematically integrated. There are a lot of red herrings and unused props, but instead of being frustrating, they enrich the world and reward exploration. While enjoyable, the puzzle count is on the lighter side and doesn’t offer much parallelism, which is why a smaller team than our group of 5 might have an even better time.

Flow – 8

Excellent pacing from start to finish, aided by the performance-heavy nature of the game. The variety of environments keeps things feeling fresh, and the transitions between them are smooth. Our five-player team rarely had downtime, but with fewer puzzles overall, two or three players could easily stay fully engaged.

Verdict – 8.0

The Fantastic Warehouse is a theatrical, high-energy fantasy adventure that thrives on its performers’ skill and the creativity of its set. With the right GM, it’s a hilarious, memorable, and heartwarming journey through magical settings. Perfect for fans of character-driven escape experiences and even better if you can snag a small group for a more intimate run.
