Set & Atmosphere – 10
Some of the most jaw-dropping set pieces we’ve ever seen. The Dome is massive and you can’t fully grasp the scale of the environment until you’re inside. The props, visuals, tech, and expansive use of space are unforgettable, and even a year later we can still picture specific moments vividly. The lobby itself is also worth mentioning: a stylish and fun hangout perfect for a group looking to do all 3 escape rooms at the location.
Story & Immersion – 8
Here’s where it falters a bit. While the Dome bills itself as a fever dream allowing “anything goes” transitions, but the randomness didn’t fully land for us. It often felt disjointed, like a string of impressive vignettes held together by the “you’re hallucinating” framing. Don't get me wrong, there are incredible and clever moments, but overall we found the immersion to be lacking compared to other top-50 rooms.
Puzzles & Mechanics – 9
The puzzles themselves are very solid: responsive, satisfying, and integrated into the environment without any unnecessary fiddling. They’re varied and reactive in ways that feel fun and intuitive. That said, as a duo we hit some frustration. Certain sections required communication across long distances with multiple rounds of repetition, which became a slog with only two players. Larger groups would likely smooth over those bumps.
Flow – 8.5
The Dome moves you between spaces seamlessly, and the sheer spectacle of each reveal keeps you engaged. The pacing is strong overall, but a couple of communication-heavy puzzles dragged for us as a smaller team. Still, the balance of exploration and interaction felt satisfying and kept us moving forward without true dead ends.
Verdict – 8.9
The Dome is an impressive, large-scale escape experience with unforgettable set pieces and jaw-dropping reveals. While we found the theme weaker and some puzzles frustrating with just two players, the spectacle and production value alone make it worth the trip. If you go, make a day of it by playing their other rooms (The Girl and The Laboratory) before diving into this one!
